Outreach is an integral part of the Life Enrichment Center mission. It involves individual and collaborative efforts to address the diverse needs of the homeless and other under served residents of the city. We are committed to mobilizing area churches, city and civic organizations, and businesses to find viable solutions to the challenges that confront at-risk populations throughout Hampton Roads.

  • At designated times throughout the year, we support area homeless shelters and nursing homes.
  • During the holiday season, LEC volunteers visit residents living at the Ballentine Nursing Home in Norfolk, VA. Each resident receives a gift and the festive time includes singing Christmas carols.
  • Back to School Outreach - More than 400 students attending Richard Bowling and Jacox Elementary Schools receive backpacks filled with supplies in August each year.
