Kevin H. Turpin
Kevin Turpin is the founder and director of the Life Enrichment Center of Norfolk, an outreach program which targets at risk populations in the city of Norfolk. He also is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Tidewater Community College, Norfolk campus and an Assistant Pastor at New Life Providence, a multi-ethnic church in Virginia Beach. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Buffalo and earned a Master’s in Counseling from Canisius College and a Master’s in Practical Theology from Regent University. He has a passion to assist individuals who are committed to pursuing their goals despite challenging life circumstances. He is a Leadership Hampton Roads graduate, involved in literacy and mentoring programs for at risk youth and adult populations, and facilitates initiatives that mobilize individuals and groups to care for the homeless populations in Hampton Roads. A vision to see community transformation motivates his involvement in community and city initiatives that empower individuals to experience success in life.
Sandra J. Christmas
Sandra J. Christmas is the assistant director of the Life Enrichment Center of Norfolk. She is also founder and director of EWES Ministries, Inc. that equips women for excellent and effective service in their diverse roles through education, support, and encouragement. Sandra coordinates the LEC Family Focus initiatives and facilitates a Bible study in the Broad Creek community. As a licensed minister of New Life Providence Church and a Transformational Leadership Life Coach, she volunteers to assist the chaplain in providing services to the women in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center that will prepare them for re-entry into the community. She has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education from Coppin State College, Baltimore, MD and Masters of Arts degrees in Human Services Counseling and Practical Theology from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. Her passion is to assist all women in their endeavor to attain a better quality of life and encourage them to pass their experiences, wisdom, and knowledge on to others in their family and community.
