The Life Enrichment Center of Norfolk's programs rely on our committed and dedicated network of volunteers living throughout Hampton Roads.

Volunteers like you can help out in the following areas:

Mentor a middle school student at Blair Middle School in Norfolk, VA or Renaissance Academy in Virginia Beach, VA  for one hour each week during the school year to provide general academic support and encouragement.

Tutor an elementary school student at Richard Bowling or Jacox Elementary Schools in Norfolk, VA or an adult at the Life Enrichment Center for one hour, 1-2 days each week throughout the academic year. Help improve reading skills using Project Light’s computer software.

Serve in outreach initiatives during the year which include:

  • Distributing backpacks and supplies to elementary students in need
  • Preparing meals and feeding the poor in designated areas of Hampton Roads
  • Visiting the sick and disabled individuals at area nursing homes
  • Participating in holiday outreaches to the poor
